The Wind

It all started with a ‘Hi.’ He gave her a glimpse she couldn’t miss.
They were batchmates who sat in different places from one end of the room to the other.
This is how it happened before they could express themselves: “Hey, what’s your name?
My name is Alyssa.
It would be a pleasure to meet yours.
‘Are batchmates supposed to introduce themselves in this manner?’
I have no idea. Maybe in a more formal setting.’
You want to go somewhere?
What about after school?
Let me take you to the place where it says who I am.
After the class, they slowly moved towards each other.
He took him to a location that left her in utter shock.
She inquired, “How come?”
How is this even possible?
He smiled and said that it is possible when two souls yearn for each other.
He had taken her to a cemetery.
She sat down and prayed for him for a while.
She returned a brief glance, but he had vanished. She could feel the wind that he had left behind forever.
